Description:
The AIR-AP500GHP Access Point is a high-performance AP that is designed for enterprise and public access applications. Embedded with Atheros chipset, it boasts network robustness and stability and wider network coverage. Based on 802.11g, it has a transfer speed 10X faster than 802.11b. It supports high-speed data transmission of up to 54Mbps at 2.4GHz.
AIR-AP500GHP is capable of support operating in different modes such as Access Point Bridging, Access Point Client, Gateway, Wireless Bridge Link, Wireless Routing Client and Wireless Ethernet, which makes it suitable for a variety of wireless applications and deployments. Network administrators can make use of the SNMP feature included in the web management for easy user management. Equipped with SMA antennas, AIR-AP500GH/GHP provides a wider coverage for your network. An integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows this device to be used in areas where power outlets are not readily available.
To protect your security and privacy, AIR-AP500GH/GHP is armed with many enhanced wireless security features compatible with WPA™, WPA2™ (with Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm) MAC Address Filtering, IEEE 802.1x Authentication and 64/128-bit WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) to ensure privacy for the heterogeneous mix of users within the same wireless LAN, while maintaining full access to the establishment's resources.
AIR-AP500GHP also incorporates unique features such as - the Parallel Broadband feature, which allows bandwidth aggregation and fail-over redundancy capability. When set to gateway mode, it uses Wireless Distribution System (WDS) to wirelessly link all associated access point gateway together. Long-Range parameter settings provide this device with the ability to auto-calculate parameters such as slot time, ACK time-out and CTS time-out on the wireless device based on range requirements to achieve a longer range. Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) provides the wireless network with extra redundancy and reliability that the network will auto-reconfigure when there are changes to the network connections. Pseudo VLAN feature enables the creation of wireless isolated nodes or workgroups between wireless clients to increase network privacy in a wireless LAN installation.

By installing AIR-AP500GHP equipped with omni-directional antenna in the user’s neighborhood, all users around the access point can easily connect to Internet through the access point by installing a wireless USB Adapter, PCI Card or a AIR-AP500GHP in client mode.
LAN to LAN or LAN to Multi-LAN Connection
Wiring inside your own building may be an easy job, but it is hard if network cabling needs to route through some public areas or difficult wiring environments. AIRNET 54 Mbps Wireless Access Point, can work in bridge mode to provide a robust solution for connecting two or more wired Ethernet buildings. By extending distance, using NETKROM’s external antenna, the installation is easy and the distance between buildings can be 20Km or more.
