Florida, U.S.A. – October 16th, 2009 - NETKROM (www.netkrom.com), the leading company providing equipments for long range wireless solutions, with its headquarter located in Peru; which is specialized in deploying wireless solutions for video surveillance, traffic control, radio communication, remote locations interconnection, Wireless ISP, Rural Telephony and Internet connection, and e-government plus digital cities; announced that the Municipality of the district of ATE in Lima - Peru chose the solution submitted by Netkrom to implement and enhance the existing Video Surveillance system and the Emergency Centre; which are part of the Public Surveillance Program of the Local Government.

The Manager’s Office for Public Safety; which will be in charge of the management of this system; assured that the objective of this project was to strengthen and enhance the current Video Surveillance System, by adding 12 new IP cameras, an Emergency Centre and a new Control and Monitoring Centre making it possible that different areas of the Local Government area can be kept watch from two Monitoring Centers, speeding up the response time of the people in charge of the Local Government Safety in case of any problem or emergency that may occur.

The system will be deployed over a point to point wireless communications platform to allow the interconnection of the surveillance cameras, controlling and real-time video streaming at the monitoring center, where cameras are accessed by the Internet through the municipality website. To achieve this purpose, the radios which will be used are Backhaul Multi-Band MB-ROMB, in licensed frequency bands and unlicensed of 4.9GHz and 5GHz.

Moreover, a computer system will be implemented involving an automated platform for the Central Emergency and a Technology Management System for Public Safety, facilitating the location of the area of any incident, the displacement of assistance personnel and the generation of a database that provide statistics based on the occurrences.

In this way the City of ATE will have a communication system that provides security, reliability and flexibility for new applications of video surveillance system. About NETKROM:
